Capitals, the full stop at the end, curly or straight apostrophes, double spaces — none of these are counted against you. “I don’t have time” and “I do not have time” are the same answer, and so is “i dont have time”, because leaving the apostrophe out is a keyboard habit rather than an English mistake.

Polish letters are not treated the same way. ą ć ę ł ń ó ś ź ż are separate letters, not decorated ones: laska is a stick and łaska is mercy. In practice, a missing tail is marked almost and named, so you can see which one it was. In ranked it is simply wrong. Being generous about this would teach the one habit that is hardest to unlearn.

A single mistyped character in practice counts as almost and is worth half. Ranked accepts no near-misses at all, because a board where two players were marked by different rules is not comparing anything.

Harder sentences are worth more — A1 100, A2 150, B1 225, B2 325, C1 450 — and speed adds at most a quarter on top. That ratio is deliberate: a slow correct C1 sentence beats a perfect, instant A1 one, so there is nothing to gain from racing through the easiest level. A streak of 3, 5 or 10 multiplies what you earn. A hint keeps 60%. Ranked has no hints and no skipping.

The score is a pure function of level, verdict, seconds, streak and hint. The same performance always produces the same number.
